Description: Cades Cove is known for its cultural history, wildlife, and … CROWDS!  This adventure offers you an opportunity to experience the best of the cove, without all the people. First, the trail will begin with passing by the cabin of the first permanent settler of the Cades Cove. Next, you’ll begin turning up into the mountains that protected these mountain folk for generations. Throughout this hike you are likely to encounter many varieties of fungus, views of the surrounding valleys, and you may even catch a glimpse of an American black bear as it forages on summer berries or fall nuts.
