Bear Cub Adventure: A Kids’ Smoky Mountain Nature Walk
Calling all curious cubs! Bear Cub Adventure is a playful Smoky Mountain nature walk designed especially for kids who love animals, stories, exploring, and getting a little wild in the woods.
On this family-friendly adventure, young explorers will learn all about the Smokies’ most famous furry resident: the black bear. With an experienced guide leading the way, kids will discover how bears live, what they eat, where they roam, how to spot signs like tracks and scat, and how people can safely and respectfully share the mountains with them.
While it is always exciting to see a bear from a safe distance, this program does not promise bear sightings. Instead, it gives kids a fun, responsible, and age-appropriate way to step into bear country, use their senses, ask big questions, and see the forest through the eyes of a young bear cub.
Along the way, children will enjoy a hands-on craft, hear a fun bear story, and receive a small goodie bag with a few Smoky Mountain treasures to remember their adventure.
Caution: This activity is known to turn kids into muddy-kneed explorers, junior bear experts, and proud collectors of sticks, rocks, leaves, and unforgettable mountain memories.
Best for: Young children, families, bear-loving kids, first-time Smokies visitors, and guests looking for a playful wildlife-focused nature program.
