Amazing Company I did 2 solo hikes with guide Ben in July. It was the absolute best experience! He was so knowledgeable and the staff helping to coordinate and plan the trip was so easy to work with. I’m in the works of planning something this summer again, and they are going above and beyond in working with me to get a custom itinerary setup for my experience. I will continue to return and use A Walk In The Woods anytime I need a transfer or guide service in the Smokies!

Snowy Tour! We stayed in Gatlinburg for 4 days and this was the best thing we did. Our guide, China, was so friendly and knowledgeable telling us about the plants, animals, and history of the area. You'll have a great time if she is your guide. We also loved that it snowed during our walk!

We also got really lucky and saw the first blanket of snow for the season Such a great hike for the little ones, my son loved it! Debbie was incredible she built a snow man with us and gave us some great information on bears and the national park

Extraordinary Private Tour My husband and I booked a private tour (Best of the Smokey’s). We were lucky enough to get Sam as our guide. She was knowledgeable, timely and provided an excellent overall experience. Sam provided many highlights throughout the day and knew just where to go and when in order to avoid the summer crowds! This 8 hour day was worth every penny! Thank you again, Sam!!

A must see, once in your lifetime. 1st off, the campsite 🏕️ was perfectly selected. Loved sleeping at night, next to the river. But…. The real attraction were the fire flies and the blue ghost fire flies. Sitting at the campfire it was a show, like nothing else. Total darkness, to 1-2 fire flies lighting up and then everyone followed. It was a symphony perfectly executed. Stunning! Jack, tour guide, was the perfect match for our group. Very knowledgeable, had an excitement to show us things as we walked, learned a lot w him and thanks for being you! 😍

A Walk in the Woods-totally awesome!! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!! We scheduled 3 days of hiking, and got some itineraries for the week. Each day had different hikes, and we were able to change the itinerary if we wanted, which we did due to rain. There are an abundance of trails and sights, and the guides knew all of them. We had a different guide everyday, and there wasn't much the guides didn't know. Lunch is provided each day. Bring your own water. They even had pickup service to and from Knoxville airport. Mike, Sam , and Rachel were wonderful. There are so many trails available, that we will return to A Walk in the Woods next year for more.
